About Jim Dunlap

Jim Dunlap has devoted his life to educating us about the living creatures with which we share our world.  He has utilized this skill and passion as a teacher for over thirty years.  His publications include three non-fiction books about animals: They Don’t Have to Die, Critter Chronicles, and Slitherin’ Round Texas and two children’s fiction books: Only, the Last Dinosaur and Pete the Python. He has published articles in magazines, newspapers, and trade publications, and is frequently called upon by local and national news to lend his expertise to stories about animals.  As a wildlife photographer his photos have been published in magazines, newspapers and books.
